Recently, Education Department of Shaanxi Province announced the list of awarded projects in 2022 Shaanxi University Student Industrial Design Competition, and a project made by the teacher-student team from Peihua Creator Center won the first prize and was recommended to the national competition (project name: New Zhurong Mars Exploration Vehicle, students: Lin Xinyi, Zhu Jiahui, Wang Peng, Li Sainan, Li Yanjin), and one project won the second prize (project name: Chiyanjinni HQ22F Multi-barrel Rocket Launcher, students: Lin Xinyi, Zhu Jiahui, Wang Peng, Li Yanjin, Li Sainan). Peihua’s teachers, Wang Jian and Wang Xudong, as well as the corporate mentors, Qiao Mu and Cao Xuzhao, were awarded excellent instructors. These are the best results in the history of our university in this event.

It is reported that a total of 3,302 eligible pieces were collected in Shaanxi, and 30 pieces won the first prize, 60 pieces won the second prize, 90 pieces won the third prize and 120 pieces were awarded the excellent prize, and 59 pieces of works were recommended to the national competition. The National Student Industrial Design Competition is guided by Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and is held every two years, and has been successfully held for five times so far. With the theme of Crossover Integration with Design, the competition advocates the industrial spirit with craftsmanship as the core, guides participants to establish noble ideals and professional ethics, and devotes to cultivating leading talents in manufacturing industry who respect labor, dedicate to work and trust, strive for excellence and dare to innovate.

The excellent achievement in this competition is another manifestation of the university’s insistence on application-oriented teaching reform and the continuous promotion of the integration of innovation and entrepreneurship education with professional education around the construction of new engineering course, new medicine course, new agricultural science and new liberal arts  around inter-professional and inter-disciplinary. Peihua insists on the training mode with innovative industry experts and teachers as students’ mentors and promoting learning, teaching and reform with competitions in order to effectively guarantee the effectiveness of the university’s applied technology-oriented talents training.
